Our Mission
We believe every pet deserves stress-free veterinary care — regardless of whether they love car rides or dread them. Founded in 2020, Orlando Mobile Vet was born from a simple observation: the animals who need veterinary care the most are often the ones least able to get to a clinic. Senior dogs with arthritis. Cats who panic at the sight of a carrier. Multi-pet households where a single vet visit turns into a daylong logistics puzzle. We decided to remove the barrier by bringing the clinic to the patient. Today, we serve over 2,000 families across the Orlando metro area, providing the same quality care you'd expect from a top clinic — in the comfort of your living room.
Why We're Different
Traditional vet visits mean car anxiety, crowded waiting rooms, and rushed appointments. We eliminate all of that. Each visit is one-on-one, unhurried, and tailored to your pet's specific needs. We typically spend 30-45 minutes per appointment — three to four times longer than the average clinic visit. This isn't just more pleasant; it's better medicine. Pets examined at home show fewer stress indicators, which means more accurate vital signs, more cooperative behavior, and more thorough examinations. We see things that stressed-out clinic visits miss.
Our Values
Three principles guide everything we do. First, transparency — we explain what we find, what we recommend, and what it costs before we do anything. No surprise bills, no unnecessary upselling. Second, compassion — we treat every pet like our own, especially during the hardest moments. Third, accessibility — veterinary care shouldn't require a car, a flexible work schedule, or the ability to wrangle a frightened animal into a carrier. We come to you because your pet deserves care without barriers.
Our Mobile Clinic
Our vehicle isn't just a car with a stethoscope. It's a fully equipped mobile veterinary unit carrying a portable blood analyzer (results in 15 minutes), a pharmacy with the most commonly needed medications, surgical instruments for minor procedures, dental cleaning equipment, vaccination inventory, and digital record-keeping that syncs with our office in real-time. We can do about 85% of what a traditional clinic does — right in your home.
Community Involvement
We're not just a business in Orlando — we're part of the community. We partner with Orange County Animal Services and local rescue organizations for reduced-cost spay/neuter and vaccination drives. Our veterinarians volunteer at community adoption events and provide pro bono consultations for foster families. We believe that a healthy pet community starts with accessible care for all.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Rivera graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and spent 8 years in emergency medicine before founding Orlando Mobile Vet. She is Fear Free certified, a member of the AVMA and FVMA, and has a special interest in geriatric medicine and end-of-life care. She lives in College Park with two rescue dogs (Biscuit and Gravy) and a three-legged cat named Tripod.
Dr. Chen joined the team in 2022 after completing a rotating internship at a specialty hospital in Tampa. He brings expertise in internal medicine and dentistry, and is the lead for all dental procedures in our practice. A lifelong Floridian, he volunteers with the ASPCA's mobile spay/neuter program on weekends. He shares his apartment with a very opinionated Maine Coon named Chairman Meow.
Maria has been a certified veterinary technician for 15 years and has worked in emergency, specialty, and general practice settings. She is the calm, steady presence that makes even the most anxious pets relax. Maria handles our in-home blood draws, catheter placements, and assists with dental procedures and minor surgeries. She's also our resident cat whisperer.
David manages scheduling, billing, insurance coordination, and makes sure every client interaction is smooth from first call to follow-up. Before joining Orlando Mobile Vet, he spent a decade in hospitality management — and it shows. He's the voice you'll hear when you call, and the person who makes sure your estimate is accurate, your appointment is on time, and your records are always up to date.
